Position Title: Facilities Technician

FLSA Status:         Part Time | Non-Exempt

Hours:                   20-24 hrs./week

Specific Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain buildings, grounds, parking areas, vehicles, and security systems.

  • Oversee housekeeping and facility improvements.

  • Manage purchasing and receiving of facility supplies.

  • Assist with preventive maintenance schedules and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

  • Perform and document maintenance and repairs, noting any changes in mechanical or electrical systems.

  • Process and complete work orders; perform room setups and teardowns.

  • Coordinate heating and cooling systems according to the church use calendar.

  • Maintain current manuals, records, and equipment inventories.

  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance needs.

  • Cross-train with other maintenance staff to ensure operational coverage.

  • Collaborate with building and construction teams during facility development projects.

Basic Qualifications

  • Physically capable of performing maintenance tasks, including walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and handling tools or equipment. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. and occasionally lift or move heavier items.

  • Ability to inspect facilities, identify issues, and take or recommend corrective action.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Committed to complying with all safety regulations.

  • Valid driver’s license required.

  • Professional demeanor and ability to represent the church with excellence.
