“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”

Luke 4:18-19 NLT

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, 19 and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come. Or and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

Luke 4:20-21 NLT

20 He rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the attendant, and sat down. All eyes in the synagogue looked at him intently. 21 Then he began to speak to them. “The Scripture you’ve just heard has been fulfilled this very day!”

Luke 4:40-42 NLT

40 As the sun went down that evening, people throughout the village brought sick family members to Jesus. No matter what their diseases were, the touch of his hand healed every one. 41 Many were possessed by demons; and the demons came out at his command, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But because they knew he was the Messiah, he rebuked them and refused to let them speak. 42 Early the next morning Jesus went out to an isolated place. The crowds searched everywhere for him, and when they finally found him, they begged him not to leave them.

Luke 4:43 NLT

43 But he replied, “I must preach the Good News of the Kingdom of God in other towns, too, because that is why I was sent.”

Go, Show, Tell

Amazed and perplexed they ask one another, What does this mean? What is this? Could this be the Son of David? Who is this? Who are you? When all the people saw…they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened. Are you the King of the Jews? Brothers, what should we do? Sirs, what must I do to be saved? What must I do to inherit eternal life?

Acts 1:8 NLT

8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

“The calling that I have received requires me to use non-violent methods to disobey the human laws that disobey the Bible and God. My Savior Christ also requires me to joyfully bear all costs for disobeying wicked laws.
…Christ’s great commission requires of us great disobedience. The goal of disobedience is not to change the world but to testify about another world.” – Pastor Wang Yi
