My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

“He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.” – The Apostles Creed

Because Jesus has ascended…
We have access to the Father.
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven…Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence. Hebrews 4:14,16

Because Jesus has ascended…
We have an advocate at the right hand of God.
Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died–more than that, who was raised to life–is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
Romans 8:34

Because Jesus has ascended…
The Great Commission can be fulfilled.
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…”
Matthew 28:18-19

Because Jesus has ascended…
The church is empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.
Acts 2:33

Because Jesus has ascended…
He is Lord and Christ!
“Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.”
Acts 2:36

Luke 24:53 NIV

And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God.
